I'm Sonja, a plant-based nutrition and health coach. I want to empower and support people to live a healthy and balanced life by showing different approaches and providing the tools and resources to make a lifestyle change easy and fun. I help with overcoming food addictions, losing weight and developing a healthy relationship with food, the body, and exercise. It is important to me that my clients don't feel that they are on a restricted diet, but love the food they eat without being hungry or feeling as though they are missing out on anything as a result of the changes that they have decided to make.
A whole foods, plant-based lifestyle leads to a sustainable, healthy and happy life. This way of living has been proven to save lives by preventing, reversing and treating diseases that are common in the Western world. Although there is strong evidence that this way of eating has the power to reverse disease, it is not widespread knowledge, and as a result only a minority of the population is aware of the health benefits.
Changing the course of your life through adopting a plant-based diet as well as new and positive habits, means regaining control of your health and your life. Nourishing food, mindfulness exercise and physical activity - these three things go hand in hand with a vibrant lifestyle.
I am here to help!
It is my passion to help others, bring people together and build supportive communities. To see others thriving and becoming wholesome is the biggest reward for me. If you want to go on this journey, or have been trying for a while but do not know how to continue your path to well-being, I would love to guide you. A change of habit is never easy, but with a positive attitude, comprehensive knowledge and trust in yourself, a happy and health-promoting lifestyle is just a stone's throw away!
What is the idea behind SOS Free?
SOS Free started in January 2018 out of the idea of changing the world and showing how healthy and nourishing food can both be easily prepared and taste amazing. It is based on a whole foods, plant-based diet with no added salt, oil or sugar and is the purest and most natural form to eat.
What is a whole foods, plant-based diet?
It is a healthy, clean and varied way of eating which consists of whole foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, legumes, leafy greens, nuts, seeds, herbs, and spices. No salt, oil or sugar is needed as whole foods taste amazing without these additions.
What effects does a whole foods, plant-based diet have?
When you stick to a whole foods, plant-based diet, you affect your health in a positive way as you are giving your body the nutrients it needs to function correctly - and even better, you do not do any damage to your body. For example, fruit and vegetables are proven to have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties that are good for heart health, strong bones, healthy blood, a positive mood, and fighting diseases such as Alzheimer's - or even prevent some cancers.
